To ensure the health and safety of participants, we have put in place several guidelines that inform some rules around minimizing the spread of covid 19. These guidelines are informed by the SOPs as communicated by the ministry of health in Uganda. These guidelines are subject to modification including during the event.
The ministry of health allowed not using masks in most public places but as an event, any attendee of this event must wear a mask as long as they are in the event premises. This ensures the safety and protection of any immunocompromised persons in our midst. Masks may be removed when momentarily having food or a refreshment.
We understand that vaccination coverage has not reached all areas of the country, therefore we will not require a proof of vaccination for participants of this event.
However we may take note of vaccinated and unvaccinated persons if required from us by the ministry of health for contact tracing.
If you have been vaccinated, you can come with your covid certificate. Consult the ministry of health website on procedures for acquiring one.
Any proof of vaccination works in case anyone asks. Attendees are not allowed to ask anyone about their vaccination status.
We will have hand sanitizer, soap and water for any persons that may need to clean their hands of any germs. Inform one of the organizers to replenish any of these amenities if finished.
We will keep social distance within the venue as less crowded as we can which means we will be strict on keeping the number of attendees low enough to avoid overcrowding the event room.
Anyone with covid 19 symptoms is requested to not attend the workshop. Please inform the organizers so that we give your slot to another participant.
